How to Install WordPress Using Softaculous
One-Click WordPress Installation
Install WordPress in minutes using Softaculous, our auto-installer.
Step-by-Step Installation
- Log into DirectAdmin
- Find and click Softaculous Apps Installer
- Click WordPress (usually featured on the main page)
- Click Install Now
Installation Options
Software Setup
- Choose Protocol: https:// (recommended)
- Choose Domain: Select your domain
- In Directory: Leave blank for root, or enter folder name
Site Settings
- Site Name: Your website title
- Site Description: Tagline/description
Admin Account
- Admin Username: Choose something other than "admin"
- Admin Password: Strong password (save this!)
- Admin Email: Your email address
Advanced Options (Optional)
- Database name (auto-generated is fine)
- Table prefix (default wp_ is fine)
- Auto-upgrade settings
After Installation
- Click the admin URL to log in
- Complete the WordPress setup wizard
- Choose a theme
- Start creating content!
